Casio Exilim C721: Consumer Review

Among mobile phones, Casio Exilim C721 is a cheap and simple camera phone.  It would be better to say that it is a comparatively cheap but nice camera and a phone is attached to it.  Though the phone is cheap and simple, it does not mean that the phone is not worth the value.  Though the phone is simple and cheap, every would like to have the Casio Exilim C721.

Casio Exilim C721 has excellent call quality and it is decent for texting.  But it needs some basic T9 input setting.  It is great for texting and regarding call quality there is crystal-clear clarity and that may be a feature with most of the phones now.  However, I need to say that though the texting is fine usually, there may be occasional glitches.  Sometimes the text may not be sending the first couple of times.  But it happens one or two days in a week.

A remarkable feature of the quality of Casio Exilim C721is its durability.  It is suitable for rough weather conditions and also in rains.  The phone is water-resistant and sturdy.  It works in rains or under water or even when you take bath.  There are people who can’t put their phone for a few minutes to take shower.  For them Casio Exilim C721 is the ideal phone.  While I was parking my car in rains, I happened to drop the phone inadvertently and the car even ran over it.  Later I came back and looked for it and found still in the rains.  Though a little dented with some scratches, the Casio Exilim C721 was absolutely fine.  Thus Casio Exilim C721 is an ideal phone for those in rough weather conditions. 

Casio Exilim C721 comes with a great camera!  The camera is 5.1 mega pixel and it is the screen rotating type.   As the screen rotates, it is on the outside when the phone is closed.  This facilitates you to use the phone as a real camera and not just as a phone.  Picture quality is great on this camera there is crystal-clear clarity.  However, the video feature of the phone is not very good.  Sound recording is not very clear and video quality is rather low.  

However, with Casio Exilim C721 you could face some problem while you try to transfer photos and videos to a computer.  You need to take smaller pictures to begin with, because the pictures are too big for SMS.  And Casio Exilim C721 may sometimes freeze up.  This mostly happens when you are trying to edit the picture, especially rotating or resizing for the convenience of sending.  This is mainly because Casio Exilim C721 has 5.1 mega pixel pictures. If your Casio Exilim C721 freezes up when you try to edit, just remove the battery and restart the phone.

Barring the few down sides, on the whole the Casio Exilim C721 is a phone which is affordable, sturdy and good.   The phone has many good qualities.  Its camera is great with 5.1 mega pixel, it is water resistant, it is sturdy and durable, its call quality is great, its texting is good and it has additional features.  For anyone looking for an affordable and durable phone with a great camera, Casio Exilim C721 is your phone.
